Our Story

Once upon a time…

“As a professional photographer, I have observed the great lengths people go to entertaining guests.

Among other details, edible event favors offer the host a unique opportunity to create a lasting impression on his/her guests.

As I would travel from event to event, I noticed that most of these favors were relatively uneventful (pardon the pun).

Seeing a potential opportunity, I began to research the market in the hopes of coming up with something unique and creative. I consulted with Claudia Diawara, a dear friend from Europe who is more experienced in baking than I was. Together, we settled on French macarons.

Considering that I had never baked anything before, perfecting the art of baking macarons was quite a challenge – and I do love a challenge! Even with Claudia’s baking experience in our corner, we discovered that making this French delicacy was not as easy as we first anticipated.

Although it literally took weeks to learn to make the perfect macaron, the creative possibilities were endless after that. Crazy about Macarons offers an original fusion of traditional French Macarons and popular American flavors.
